New single released - December 13, 2022
The Song is about an automobile accident I had in California in 1973, where I went over a 50 foot cliff on my way home from high school on Winding Way, in my 1957 Thunderbird and crashed at the bottom of the cliff into a beautiful estate’s Japanese garden. A school bus had just let kids off on the side of the rural road. The road was wet going around the corner and my car started to slide, and so I swerved to avoid the dozen or so highschool’ers, opting to go over the cliff instead.
Honestly, that day, my guardians were definitely with me and it was a profound epiphany on the preciousness of life.

VAUGHAN HOY'S music is a hypnotic blend of thickly polyphonic acoustic and electric instruments traveling a transcendental path.
He is a Canadian Indie artist. His music has a transcendental aural scope within the contemporary tradition of thickly polyphonic acoustic and electric instruments. His music is a blend of folk, roots, rock, and 'out of tradition' elements that create a noticeably distinctive and individual realm within the genre of Indie music.
His compositions and songwriting matter ranges personal and other peoples stories, poetry, and the existential spirit and nature of being human within the global landscape. He has been fusing his experiences, new stories, and contemporary issues and subjects into his music and song writing. Vaughan's music is grounded in acoustic writing first.
He is a prolific new artist with three albums and eight singles to his credit between 2012 and 2023. His third album Where To Now released in 2016 charted #15 on the Top 30 in Nova Scotia and #21 on the Top 30 in Alberta on Earshot. He performs both solo, and when the universe aligns, with collaborating artists.
Vaughan was born in British Columbia, Canada and grew up in Western Australia, England, and the United States.
